Hi Bengt,
Apparently the Install Shield version we use expects all open processes to respond to some request in a standard fashion and if not it hangs. It normally works on W7 64. Please try closing all other Apps and unnecessary Processes to see if that helps.

Sorry Tom,
Still not OK, Install did take very very looooooooooong time to pass and now KFlop is 'Unknown device'.
Something is very wrong with the install package, I have downloaded 2 times still same odd behaviour. I can open Kmotion but not USB Locations as the board is not activated in the system.
So what next?
Cheers
Bengt

I had the same issue and had to go to the device manager and install the "unknown device" manually. Just point the wizard to the kmotion install dir.

Hi Bengt,
That doesn't sound like a problem with the install.
Are you running from USB power? If so can you try an external +5V supply? I've seen some cases when the USB +5V was very low and caused something like this.

Hi Tom,
USB power yes but I took the wrong output now that I have HighPower output it all works OK and my spare KFlop now runs latest firmware.
This 64-bit circus makes many heads spin around until we all find the path to prpoer working conditions.
After a long delay I am now getting back on track with my CombiMill, had to tear down the gearbox and get new parts mostly bearings and it all took so long time so I had time to do some paintwork also. Soon some update on my website.
Cheers from Sweden to all 'Kflopers'
Bengt
